O Shukubo Koya-san Eko-in é um templo budista centenário com acomodações de estilo japonês, um belo jardim e acesso Wi-Fi gratuito. Tudo! Foi muito especial e inesquecível se hospedar no templo, as instalações eram lindas e as refeições foram incríveis, uma das melhores da viagem! As atividades também foram incríveis.

高野山 宿坊 大明王院 -Koyasan Shukubo Daimyououin- situa-se em Monte Koya, a 39 km de Kishi Station e a 45 km de Matsushita Park. When we arrived, they welcomed us with tea and a small sweet, which was lovely. Our room was large and looked out to the garden, which was gorgeous. We went in November and the autumnal colours in the garden and the town were absolutely beautiful. In the morning we had the privilege to attend the prayer and we received a blessing. After breakfast it started to snow, so we spent an hour watching the garden slowly turn white, it was magical. The communal toilets were clean and the communal bath was small but comfortable. Because the town is up in the mountains, and the building is all wood and paper walls it was very cold in the corridors, but we had heating in the room and nice thick covers for the night. A highlight of the stay were the dinner and the breakfast. All vegan food, very tasty even for us, who are not vegan or vegetarian. It is very conveniently located to visit Okunoin cemetery, we took part in a night tour, something that we highly recommend. All in all it was a magical stay and I would highly recommend it.

Em Monte Koya, a 45 km de Matsushita Park, 高野山 宿坊 龍泉院 -Koyasan Shukubo Ryusenin- apresenta vistas do jardim. Adorei a experiência de ficar alojada num templo. Jardim e salas lindíssimas. Muito bem cuidado e limpo. Ambiente especial muito sossegado e relaxante. Quarto muito amplo, bem decorado. Comida maravilhosa numa sala particular em frente ao jardim. Cerimônia matinal dos monges inesquecível. Onsen novo e excelente.

宿坊 光明院 encontra-se em Monte Koya, a 39 km de Kishi Station e a 45 km de Matsushita Park. Everyone there was wonderful, willing to help even with the language barrier. The dinner and breakfast were delicious (if you stay more than one night, note that you'll eat the same dinner and breakfast) The room and all the temple was super clean and calm. It was a great place to stay! I really love the ceremonies that I could witness, meditation in the evening, morning ceremony and goma ceremony (fire ceremony). The one thing I was surprised by is that the showers are "Onsen Showers" so it's in a commun room, with little stools where you can clean yourself before entering the bath. Not a negative point, just something I wasn't expecting. Thanks to all the staff there for a wonderful stay!

I have stayed in quite a few places in Japan but this is my favorite for so many reasons: - You are staying in a temple monastery and you can see and feel that everywhere. You are staying in a piece of history. - the graveyard is one minute walking away (I went there three times in different times of the day) - you get a free tour of temple, can attend the morning prayer and a fire ceremony - the staff was super kind and some spoke very good English - I could check in early - the food is something very different than usual - there is an Onsen instead of a traditional shower room (bathing hours are limited see below) - the wifi is good

Em Quioto, a cerca de 3 minutos a pé de Estação Ferroviária de Gion Shijo, 祇園の宿 杏花 apresenta um jardim, quartos não fumador e acesso Wi-Fi gratuito em toda a propriedade. O lugar é impecável, tudo muito bem decorado e equipado. Quartos limpos e confortáveis. O staff extremamente atencioso e educado.

Situado em Shirahama, a 200 metros da Praia de Shirahama e a 1,2 km da Praia Ezura, o Shirahama no Yado Daigo oferece acesso Wi-Fi gratuito em toda a propriedade. The hostess (who's also the owner) was a very nice and friendly person. Breakfast was complimentary and the hostess even made breakfast by herself to guests every morning and it was delicious! The room is equipped with tatami floor and was super clean. There was no bed but instead futon was provided and you need to set it up by yourself at night which was interesting. It was a special experience to get a chance to sleep in a Japanese futon. If you don't know how to set it up they will help you too. The bathroom is big and equipments were new. The hotel is within 5 minutes walk to the beach. It's also close to a bus stop which takes you to surrounding sightseeing places. There are convenient store and supermarket within walking distance and you can buy fireworks there to play at the beach at night. If we come back to Shirahama in the future we will choose to stay here again.

Em Quioto, a cerca de 15 minutos a pé de Kyoto Shigaku Kaikan Conference Hall, Nazuna Kyoto Tsubaki St. Fantastic service from start to finish. From the check in process, to the check out, the staff always made sure you were comfortable and had what you needed. The location is easy to get to and the rooms themselves are stunning. A big selling point of course was the private bath, but a pleasant surprise was their restaurant. My booking included breakfast and a Wagyu course dinner and both were delicious and very satisfying. For a one night splurge, I highly recommend this hotel.
