I loved everything about this place. Absolutely the highlight of my trip. And funny enough, there was no other guests so I had the whole place to myself! The town is very cute and the house is just incredible. It had everything a person could ask for in an accommodation. Everything works perfectly. The design is very beautiful. The house is even more beautiful in real life. I will never forget it. I think I told Assi how much I loved it too many times :) Assi was the most helpful host, he was very friendly, curious to know about my trip, he even picked me up from the station when I unfortunately missed the train. And dropped me off to the bus stop when I wanted to visit the near village. I hope to visit it again in future. Thank you again, thank you very much.

Guest House Motomiya ligger i Magome-kvarteret i Nakatsugawa, 20 km fra Enakyo Wonderland og 40 km fra landsbyen Japan Taisho. Der tilbydes rolig gadeudsigt og fælles opholdsstue. Supervenlig og gæstfri værtinde. Vi følte os virkelig velkommen, og hun tilbragte meget tid med fx at lære os origami. Fantastisk flot og velsmagende mad. Stilfuldt japansk hjem.

Guest House Hinode har bjergudsigt og tilbyder indkvartering med gratis cykler, have og fælles opholdsstue, ca. 2,6 km fra Takayama Station. The room is super comfortable for a cheap price. There's also a comfy lounge room that has TV and other entertainment. The kitchen has microwave, refridgerator etc, so we bought our own food, heat it up in microwave and ate in the lounge room. The host is very friendly and always ready to help. After we check out, he immediately went to clean the room. The parking lot is big.

Very clean and homely. Lively pets around, which was a welcomed change :) A 30 min walk from Gifu JR, hosts happily dropped us to the station at checkout. I believe you can organise pick up and drop off with the host. Regardless, a 30 min walk on flat ground is completely possible and should not deter anyone. However there is a local line which is 13 min walk from the house.

Best of all was his effort to get a dinner reservation for us at an exceptional restaurant in walking distance. Fantastic meal and experience in a small village that closes up early.
